Bafang E-Bike Systems

Bafang is a well-known manufacturer of motor systems for e-bikes of all types. The company occupies a leading position worldwide in hub motors, has an extensive range of products and, with its open system architecture, enables the greatest possible freedom of design for OE customers. Regardless of whether it is a rear, mid, front or cargo engine, Bafang has products to fit all markets. There are also displays of all quality levels and suitable batteries. The entire Bafang range is available from Messingschlager.

This is reason enough to equip the product range of our light e-bikes with the H400 or H600 hub motor. These compact motors fit in with the 360 Wh battery - which, are equipped with the latest 21700 cell technology and fit seamlessly with the clean design of our light e-bikes. Depending on the application, we install the sporty, compact DP C11 or the clear DP C240 displays.

The Bafang Engines

H600

The H600 is the best possible compromise from all the good properties of the Bafang rear engines and sets highlights. At only 2 kg, it is the lightest of all engines. With its extremely compact size of 105 mm in diameter, it is also the most inconspicuous motor in the range and at first glance it can hardly be distinguished from a gear hub. With 42 Nm it almost comes close to the maximum torque of the most powerful rear engines. A real top model for sporty use!

H400B

The H400B clearly focuses on performance. With 250 watts of power and 45 Nm of torque, it is the most powerful motor in our Bafang range. It is particularly suitable for bikes with a sportive orientation, such as e-gravel bikes.

H300

The Bafang H300 is the affordable entry into the world of effective e-bike drives. Due to its mounting on the rear wheel, it can convert its torque of 32 Nm directly into propulsion with very little loss. It is particularly suitable for the design of aggressively priced city and trekking bikes and with 3 kg also in an interesting weight range.

The Bafang Displays

Display C 11

The BAFANG HMI Display C 11 is equipped with a high-contrast LCD display. The operating of the overall system is integrated into the HMI and does not require an additional handlebar controller. The additional output can be individually controlled by nine support levels. The user interface is clearly legible and intuitive to use – also in bright sunlight. It gives you any important information at one glance. The HMI is protected against ingress of water and dirt and complies with protection class IP 65.

Display C 240

The high-contrast LCD Display C 240 delivers all important information at a glance and can also be read in direct sunlight without difficulty. The remote Bafang handlebar controller gives good feedback, is extremely robust and easy to use. The additional output can be individually controlled by five support levels. The user interface is clearly legible and intuitive to use. The HMI is protected against ingress of water and dirt and complies with protection class IP 65.

The battery highlight of the Light E-Bike series

360 Wh frame battery

The 360 Wh battery is an almost invisible highlight. Invisible, because it is fully integrated into the down tube design thanks to its extremely compact design. It is also a technical highlight, as its advanced 21700 cell technology enables a relatively large battery capacity to be packaged in a small battery with a very low weight of 1.8 kg. This means that a high-performance e-bike can hardly be recognized as such in terms of its frame design.

We have consistently expanded our innovative Light series to include the Road style: An e-gravel bike with an almost invisible 360 Wh battery and a powerful motor at the rear.
