Find here a selection of end caps for housings on shift and brake cables. End caps for cables are small metal caps that fit exactly over the ends of the cable housing and have a small passage at the end. The inner cable (shift or brake cable) is guided through this passage. End caps ensure that the cable housing remains straight in relation to the cable stop. If possible, end caps should always be fitted to the ends of the cable housing to prevent fraying of the outer cable sheath and thus ensure the function of the brake or gearstick. Another type of end cap is clamped onto the ends of inner cables to prevent fraying and reduce the risk of injury.
